8.3 RightsClaimConflictResponse message

The RightsClaimConflictResponse message is made up of a series of Records each of which communicate a change of rights claim status the exact nature of which is described in Clause 6.2 and is sent by at least one of the conflicting parties in receipt of a RightsClaimConflictNotification from a music licensing company.

Each Record in a RightsClaimConflictResponse message, as specified in Clause 8.4, is communicating a change of rights claim status by each conflicting party involved in the rights claim conflict or an indication that review of the conflicting claim is still pending. Each Record includes among other data, the response type, the resource metadata, the territory, the start and end date of the conflict and the claimed right share percentage.

RightsClaimConflictResponse message created in accordance with this standard shall conform to the technical details defined in Clause 8.4 and be communicated in accordance with Clause 5.

Each RightsClaimConflictResponse message shall comprise of the following Records:

  1. 1 header Record of type CHEA created in accordance with Clause 9.1;

  1. 1-n Records of type RCRR each of which contains a response to a specific Record in a RightsClaimConflictNotification message created in accordance with Clause 9.4; and

  1. 1 footer Record of type CFOO created in accordance with Clause 9.2.
